Californian quartet defining themselves as Sci-Fi black metal, maybe due to cosmic and interstellar topics, sounding like blackened death metal too ("The Maw"). It's a well-balanced melodic black metal album, with some fast-paced tracks and nice rhythmic transitions reminding me of Swiss band Celtic Frost (e.g. Terminal Odyssey). In other words not overly dominated by drum speed and also not sounding as extreme or as raw as some BM can be.

Nobody does what Naas Alcameth does as well as he does! They do not even come close. He is an absolute master at ramming anything occult into you & letting you experience it in the most pummeling way imaginable. This may not be Nightbringer's best but it is still incredibly intense & just tries to beat the last breath out of you until the music stops... :) Then you *willingly* & *gratefully* hit that repeat button! Highly recommended!!!
